The world’s biggest retailer by sales–Walmart is currently slowing down its pace with opening of new stores in China and Brazil after admitting the company had made mistakes and let profitability slip in its haste to expand.
According to Walmart’s CFO–Charles Holley, it was said that the company has gotten ahead of itself. However, it is also stressed out that the decision of slowing down expansion was not a response to slowing economic growth in China and Brazil or to allegations of corruption in Mexico.
