VT Group and Babcock International are now in a talk with the Takeover Panel on a put-up-or-shut-up period with VT asks for a period of two weeks. But, Babcock formalized argument for six weeks to an offer.
Babcock, whose share price is down by 3.5p to 542p, has already rejected two approaches—the latter rated VT at 680p a share, or 715P to 1.3 billion euros.
VT, whose share price is up 0.5p at 664.5p, has asked the governing body to intervene, to make 8 March the deadline. This is consistent with formalizing own time frame for a bid for the £ 330m engineering firm Mouchel.
