Investors ready to take on increased risk aimid fears they might miss a bull run in equities embraced two more cash calls, pushing the total value of UK share offerings to a record of £18.8 billion.
Businesses are rushing to capitalise on the improving sentiment towards rights issues among investors, who have been encouraged by the 9.5% rise in the FTSE all-share index in April and have accumulated cash in recent months in the absence of investment opportunities.
