Types of Franchise Opportunities

To introduce the right level of franchising to meet ones’ own needs, as important as introducing the right franchise. There are multiple managed services franchise models.
1. Single unit franchising refers to the franchising type in which the franchisee would only be responsible for running one unit. It is the most likely place a brand new entrepreneur would begin. In this case, the franchisee typically has a particular territory covered by the unit.
2. Multi-Unit Franchises creates the opportunity for the franchisee to open more than one unit. Multiple units are usually sold at a reduced rate per unit. This type of franchising is not typically limited to a particular area, but may have several units located in different parts of a town, or even in other states.
3. There are basically two types of multi-unit franchises, area development and sequential multi-unit franchising. In the case of area development, the franchisee can open a specified number of outlets within a particular period; while in the other multi-unit franchises type, the franchiser awards the franchisee with the right to open additional units.
