LogoToyotaIn the UK, more than 8500 owners of the third-generation Prius models, which has become a symbol of green design and was Japan’s best-selling car last year, have been asked to take their cars to a garage to a braking glitch fix in the last year. There is a feeling that there is a delay in the anti-lock braking system activated in difficult conditions, is a “phenomenon” and no safety related. However, after the backlash over a sticky gas pedal, which affects more than eight million cars, and was blamed for 19 deaths, Toyota has chose for a quick recall of the Prius.
Earlier this week, Toyota has officially announced a worldwide recall of its hybrid Prius, due to rising concerns about their brakes. About 400000 vehicles sold worldwide are affected by the recall. But no other Toyota or Lexus models are affected by this latest recall in Europe.
