Tips on Reapplying for Your Own Job

In 2010, employers are paying less attention to layoffs and more attention to the restructuring before the hoping for upswing again.
In spite of the changes made to staff, there have been concerns over the search for new jobs. A survey by the campaign group Keep Britain finds that 43% of the surveyed 1000 workers believed that either they or their colleagues would be start looking for jobs elsewhere in 2010.
For those who like to stay with the same employer, the application process is seriously critical. Here are some tips:
First of all, the dress code will be different. People usually dress up smartly and prepare well for an external interview. But for an internal interview, there can be a temptation to be more casual, as the interviewers may already know you and you may already know them.
Secondly, you need to understand that there is no guarantee of landing a new role, though the employer or manager may already know you. You cannot simply assume a position is yours just because you have been working for that company for a long time. You still need to sell yourself and fight for it.
