Thousands of Jobs on the Line

According to a survey by the BBC, it is suggested that thousands of jobs will disappear from local government in the next five years.
49 councils are expected to shed 25000 workers. Meanwhile, a majority of local authorities, indicating they would cut spending on public services, such as roads, libraries, leisure centres as well as theatres.
According to town hall chiefs, it is said that a ‘perfect storm’ of falling income and rising demand for services are expected.
