Now, British Gas is offering £400 to people who wants to trade in an G-rated boiler for a more energy efficient model. British Gas will arrange assessments to ensure that the applicants meet the criteria and that their properties are suitable for a new ‘A-rated’ modes.
It is said that about there are about 3.5m boilers in the UK that would qualify. Applicants do not need to be existing customers of British Gas in order to get the discount. However, there is only a month for people to apply for this scrappage scheme.
