China Economic Growth Down to 8.1%

China’s economy, the world’s second largest, has expanded its slowest pace in nearly three years. Gross domestic product rose at an annual rate of 8.1% in the first quarter, compared with 8.9% in the previous three months. That’s less than many analysts had with most of them expected a figure closer to 8.3% forecast.
