Ryanair could stop expanding its business if it cannot get a better deal on new Boeing aircraft. The budget airline is due to take delivery of 200 planes for delivery between 2013 and 2016.
But the company warned that if it cannot get a cheaper price then the order would be cancelled and the money would be passed to shareholders. Ryanair announced that the falling fuel costs had lifted profits but cut-price fares would mean losses for the rest of the year. Pretax profitsa were £376.6 million in the six months to September 30, from £94.4 million last year.
