The media group of Johnston Press Plc. added another 6.5p to 33p amid talk that it could announce a new debt deal with its banks during its trading update next Wednesday.
However, it is understood that the company will say only that it hopes a deal can be concluded by August. An agreement on selling its Irish newspapers is also unlikely to be concluded in time for the trading update.
