KPMG Promotions
KPMG has announced the promotion of Marykay Fuller and Nick Smith to partners, while Lloyd Gold joins the firm as a director in its restructuring unit. This follows the appointment of Angus Wilson and Darren Mellor-Clark as partner and associate parter, respectively, and Lydia Simpson as senior manager in the tax practice.
Rising in GE Capital
The financial unit of GE—GE Capital, has promoted six senior staff in Britain. Markus Clavin becomes chief marketing officer, Sven Jirgal commercial director, Hugh Fitzpatrick chief risk officer, Willie McGibbon chief financial officer, Darren Millard operations director and Simon Ramage general counsel.
Nomura Hires Eight
Nomura has hired eight new recruits for its European equity research division. Mark McVicar, Joel Copp-Barton, Andrew Evans and Rebecca Langley join from Dresdner Kleinwort, while Marc Van’t Sant and Ed Steele move from Citigroup, alongside Simon Larkin and Nick Thomas, formerly of RBS.
