Property Merger Creating £1.6m Giant

Two property companies have announced a merger deal to create a £1.6 billion giant. The UK Commercial Property Trust, which is managed by Ignis, is being taken over by F&C Commercial Property Trust.
The new group will control 38 properties, which is a mix of retail, industrial and office space including Coca Cola’s head office in Uxbridge. The total value of these properties will reach £861 million, and the new group will generate an annual rent of up to £61 million.
