Panasonic Warns of Second $10bn Loss

In a move that underscores the deep and persistent problems facing Japan’s consumer electronics sector, the Osaka-based Panasonic has warned that the company will suffer a loss of about $10bn for the second consecutive year, discarding an earlier prediction that it would return to profit.
Shares of the company tumbled 19% today in Tokyo after it said yesterdy that Panasonic looked to end the financial year to next March with a dramatic net loss of Y765bn.
