Nokia Siemens to Cut 17K Jobs
Wednesday, November 23, 2011 10:53The struggling telecoms equipment maker–Nokia Siemens Networks, which is jointly owned by Nokia and Siemens, is to make a job cut of 17,000 across the world as part of its extensive global restructuring, which aims at shifting the company’s forcus onto more profitable mobile broadband sector.
According to the company, it is said that around a quarter of its 74,000 employees would be cut as it looked to improve profitability by reducing operating expenses and overheads by €1bn by the end of 2013.
