H&M to Continue Aggressive Expansion
Thursday, September 29, 2011 9:07The Swedish retailer–Hennes & Mauritz has promised to stick with the aggressive expansion plan in spite of a backdrop of flat sales and ebbing profitability in several key markets.
Facing the fourth consecutive fall in quarterly profits due to high cotton prices, the strong Swedish currency and wet summer weather, the company accelerated opening of new stores for the 2010/2011 financial year. According to the company, it is revealed that China, the UK, USA and Germany would become its largest expansion markets for 2011.
