BAE to Cut 1116 Jobs as RAF Work Dries Up‏

BAE Systems is cutting 1116 jobs in the UK as work for the Royal Air Force on ageing military hardware such as Nimrod reconnaissance jets dries up and short-term contracts end.
BAE will close its Woodford site in Cheshire, with the loss of 630 jobs, as Nimrod MRA4 production ends, while another 170 jobs will go in Warton, Lancashire, and 111 at Farnborough, Hampshire, as demand for work on Tornado, Hawk and Harrier aircraft slows.
The end of an Airbus contract will also see 205 jobs are going Samlesbury plant in Lancashire.

First of all, set personal objectives–what do you want to get out of your placement?
