Various kinds of bad things happen all the time. Whether it is a mini crisis or a life-changing event, don’t panic. The experts could give you some advice to sort your game plan. Here are a few Don’ts.
When you lose your job, don’t run off on holiday or act unprofessionally if you are made redundant. It will damage your severance package. Do remember to call your bank to warn them and organize a contingency plan.
When you could be pregnant, don’t tell anyone. Save your partner and best friend until you reach the three-month safe zone. Do get a GP test, not a home-test, then you can get professional advice as well.
When you spill red wine on your dress, don’t rub it or use hot water. It will only set the stain. Remember the BSB mantra—blot, salt, and booze. First of all, blot off the excess. Then pour on a thick layer of salt, followed by some white wine. Finished by rinsing with cold wather.
When you get cumped, don’t get scissor-happy with his suits, as it burns bridges, even if it is cathartic. Do listen quitely and leave immediately, you will keep the emotional upper hand. Then go somewhere public so you don’t fall to pieces.
When you snap a heel, don’t go out without some Redfoot ballet pumps in your bag. Do hop to the nearest all-night garage for some Superglue. Clean both surface, then clamp together. Or snap off the other heel.
When your credit card gets stolen, don’t freak out, banks can’t charge you without proof that a withdrawal was yours. Do check your statements. Thieves can still scam you after you cancel your card, via coping the magnetic strip and using it in countries that don’t use chip and pin.
