McDonald’s Boss Helped Modernise the Fast Food Chian’s Outlets

McDonald’s, No.1 restaurant business in the UK, has had a five-year makeover. It now sells more coffee than Starbucks, as much chicken as beef, and has redecorated its branches with soft furnishings, mood lighting and green colours. It even encourages the customers to linger with free wi-fi and nurtures its employees with on-the-job qualifications.
And at the heart of it stands a new UK boss, its first female chief executive.
