How Strategic Message Gets Lost in Translation

For organizations of different nature, clearly defined goals are the guidance that helps to conceptualize and articulate the future direction of the organization. Strategic message plays a very key role. How to convery them to all the shareholders in the right way is necessary.
However, during the operational process of turning the strategic message into reality, there are many obstacles of different nature. Massive professional advertising and public affairs with clear purpose and proper designs are required to be done.
Meanwhile, marketing communications is not enough. As human resource plays a key role in leading organizations to success, their understanding and support of the orgznizations’ strategy and over-all goals are very crucial. So, in order to make the strategic message widely accepted and followed correctly, internal communication needs to be paid great attention to. However, this is not easy to achieve at all. Strategic messages tend to get lost in the process of translation, and most of the time, people factor become the main reason that organizations fail to hit their target.
Cite a recent report by Hay Group, a management consultancy best known for its work on pay and rewards, for example. At the very first sight, this report will make unhappy reading for chief executives. According to this report, many senior managers don’t understand the chief executive’s strategy well enough to carry it out while many others disagree with the messages coing from the top.
