The energy suppliers have been capable of earning bumper profits as the prices at which they purchase energy have fallen, but the savings were passed on to customers.
Experts in the field believed that the greedy energy companies will delay their price cuts until the expensive winter bills are paid. It means consumers must rely on themselves to cut bills as much as possible.
