While global markets are always alluring, researh from Intuit has highlighted that local sales can be just as important, if not more so.
The research indicates that the local customers tend to be regular, are easier to market to, and require a low associated spend. So, while it is great to explore sales in new markets, don’t forget what is on the doorway.
To make the most of the local market, one need to focus on colleges, universities and businesses that offer large potential customer bases. Make sure you appear on local searches via creating profiles on Google Local Business Centre, Yahoo! Local and Yello pages. Ask happy customers to post a review there is no better recommendation.
