People may go overdrew when they are facing some money crisis. However, it can put an individual into an even more severe situation than they were in when they overdrew, as overdraft fees from the checking and debit account can be of great trouble. Usually, people could be charged several overdraft fees before they realize they have overdrawn. It is one of the bank’s way to make money.
Here are some tips to help one eliminate some, if not all, of the unreasonable and problematic bank overdraft fees.

Step 1
Find the funds and deposit them immediately into the overdrawn checking/debit accounts to make them to reach the balance of at least 0. It will help avoid any further fees. Also, it makes ones’ argument much more compelling as to why they deserve credit. “The money is in there now!”

Step 2
Go in to the bank. Sometimes, talking to a teller in person to truly show one’s pain and strife in person could be a good way to get them or their managers to ease up on the fees.

Step 3
Call the banks Customer Service number. First of all, ask them what the fees are, why they were charged, and question if they are unjustifiably charged. Remember to indicate that you are a good customer.
If necessary, show anger and disappointment in the institution, significantly eluding to the consideration of removing business from the bank.

Step 4
Be blunt and positively requir to be credited for the unfounded fees, as the banks won’t suggest it.

Step 5
Tell the customer service agent if you have not yet received confirmation of receiving credit. Speak with a manager or ask them to talk with their supervisor about getting credit back.

Step 6
People should definitely receive some credit back for the fees if they follow the above steps with tenacity and force. If, they still will not credit you for some reason, call again abd talk to someone else about the problem.
