FTSE 100 Sets Best Quarterly Performance

While the blue-chip index fell Wednesday, want to help the recovery of the FTSE 100 index increased by 21pc during the period from July to September. The previous best result was the Internet boom, the Financial Times 100 15pc rise in the fourth quarter of 1999.
This time, though, rebounded to stimulate a very strong demand for the financial and mining stocks, investors think that the most able to benefit from any economic recovery. For example, the mining group Kazakhmys rose in the first quarter of the 62pc rise in the Lloyds Bank Group 51pc.
British Airways is the best performing surprise increase 77.8pc.
Joshua Raymond, market indices in the city strategy, said: “This is beyond the company’s earnings back, the economy continued to show signs of recovery, picture a quarter of outstanding performance.”
However, he warned: “The key is optimistic about the momentum, which is the company’s earnings and economic data must continue our efforts to improve the leadership of shares from the current higher level.”
A city of some analysts believe the stock market may be heading for a major adjustment, if there is another impact of the banking system or profits failed to meet the high expectations.
“A long overdue amendment, but the market is not so if you want to go. For next year, we will not be raging bull,” said Collins, head of investment strategy brokerage Redmayne Bentley.
The rally, most analysts by surprise. Reuters survey forecast, in June to take the FTSE 100 index closed at 4600 years. However, market analysts on the 20th of the latest public opinion poll – which is the past week – shows that the average view is now the FTSE 100 index in 5150 is expected at the end of the year.
