Flights of Fancy are Giving Airline a Peculiar Problem

Japan Airelines has vaced mass layoffs of employees, customer fury as well as national shame, ever since the humiliating bankruptcy in Janary. However, the worst nightmare of the company might yet to come, as a potentially thriving black market for the uniforms worn by its air tewardesses.
The crisp, no-nonsense outfits have appealed to male Japanese tastes. New JAL uniforms have long been in demand in the local sex industry for customers keen on role-playing fantasies.
The risk of a new flood of uniforms onto the black market has raised the stakes for JAL. Currently, JAL is sewing computer chips into its stewardess uniforms to track the skirts, jackets and hats from space. All Nippon Airways has begun installing the same system.
