Export Orders Boosting Manufacturing Recovery

Recovery in the manufacturing indusrry shows signs of gathering pace today due to rising demand in markets at home and abroad.
According to the Engineering Employers Federation, the industry sector is enjoying buoyant trading conditions with firms reporting record levels of output and new order balances. And more companies have recruited staff over the past few months.
The EEF predicts a 3.5% growth in manufacturing this year and next. Meanwhile, a report by the National Endowment for Science, Technology and the Arts suggests hi-tech sectors will drive the economy forwards more effectively.
