An employment or a Contracts of Employment usually refers to an agreement between an employer and an employee, on terms about the employment rights, responsibilities as well as obligations. The employer as well as the employee both have an obligation to the employment until the end of the employment contract, or until the conditions of the contract are changed.

Employer and employee should both be aware of what the terms of the employment contract are, so that they could understand their own rights. However the Employment law for businesses could be much more complicated than one has ever expected. So, for the employers, getting some help from experts in the field in advance could be a much cost effective and efficient solution to avoid making big mistakes in their employment contract.
For the employees, when they have a problem, they should first try to sort out the problem with the employer. The Advisory, Conciliation and Arbitration Services could be contacted for help. People who have an employee representative like a trade union official, could also turn to them for assistant. They could even make a claim to an Employment Tribunal if the problem could not be resolved.
