reward cards

In order to survive the increasingly fierce competition on the market place, various kinds of businesses have launched their own loyalty programs, which are structured marketing efforts, to maintain their existing customers and cultivate loyalty.
The most common approach adopted in a loyalty program is distributing reward cards, which reward, and therefore encourage, loyal buying behavior.
Loyalty shopping schemes are extremely popular these days, with about 17 million people signed up to Boots advantage, nectar and Tesco Clubcard, etc. and two million to air miles. The premise is quite simple, spend on one of these cards and they pay you in return as rewards for your loyalty.
But are their benefits really valuable? There is no quick answer to this question. One might need to go through a comprehensive analysis based on the comparison of different reward card scheme to get a clue.
