Claims Soar from Firms Left Unpaid

Insurance claims by companies left unpaid for goods supplied to firms that went bankruptcy soared by more than half in the last quarter of 2008. The association of British Insurers said trade credit insurance claims jumped to 8366, up by 51 per cent on a year earlier. The total of the claims so far come to 360 million pound, it added.
