360buy, the largest web-based retailer in China selling a wide range of goods to Chinese consumers online, is currently counting on an expansion into western markets to bolster profitability for the company overall as the company is squeezed by intense competition on the domestic market.
360buy, accounting for 27.% of the transaction volume on Chinese websites that conduct online transactions themselves, looks to generate annual revenues of $100m within two or three years, which would be the break-even point for the international business.
