Casinos in Bid to Change Licensing Laws to End Area Ban

Under the 1968 Gaming Act, casinos are only permitted to operate in 53 areas across UK. However, such restrictions may be lifted if attempts by the industry to change licensing laws succeed.
It is said that local authorities of some restricted area, such as Peterborough and Swindon have expressed an interest in being able to have a casino in the future, as a standard casino could yield millions of pounds to the local community plus creating hundreds of jobs.
