The pay-television group–British Sky Broadcasting has moved to distance itself from its biggest shareholder–News Corp, ahead of the UK regulator’s decision into whether the company is a “fit and proper” holder of a broadcast licence.
The move by BSkyB chief executive–Jeremy Darroch, came a day after a committee of MPs declared – by a majority of six to four – that News Corp chairman and chief executive–Rupert Murdoch was “not fit” to lead an international media company.
