Britain Hit by £636m Fraud Epidemic

According to accountants KPMG, it is reported that Britain is hit by an epidemic of fraud, courts will see the highest number of cases for which at least 21 years.
In the first half of the year, the value of the 160 fraud cases pursued by the company was £ 636m. If this is reflected in the second half of the year, the annual total would be more than the record of £ 1.2 billion in 1995.
About 70 cases are about gangs defrauding the professional investors who suffer from a loss of £320 million. There were also 32 cases of fraud, in which the workers are against their own company. And the government was hit by a £150 fraud, especially in the form of tax evasion and fraud claims.
The figures are to come as concern for the Serious Fraud Office.
