Expansion into overseas markets like Brazil, India and Qatar has helped recruitment group Michael Page International shrug off the influence of UK government spending cuts and boost its first quarter year-on-year gross profit by 30%.
Michael Page, which specializes in hiring for law firms, accountants and banks, announced that the gross profit for the three months to March 31 rose from £97.9m to £127.3m. This is driven by more than 50% profit growth at its Asia Pacific and Americas divisions.
