Chief executive of British Airways—Willie Walsh, has issued a bold warning to cabin crew that a strike will not groud the airline. It is disclosed that other carriers and up to 6000 volunteers would help ward off the impact of any industrial action.
A large majority of BA’s cabine crew voted for industrial action in a ballot that closed. However, the Unite union has failed to announce any dates for strike so far.
According to Mr Walsh, it is said that the new passenger figures for Feburary rose by 1.1% from a year earlier, 5% of which are from business and first-class passengers. It indicated fantastic customer support despite the stike call.
