Accounting Issues Mar Connaught Sell-off Plans
Wednesday, August 25, 2010 11:24The accounting practices at Connaught has been audited by PwC ever since 2006. Now, it is independently reviewed by Deloitte.
It is said that the accountancy issues at Connaught are expected to have influenced more than just the beleaguered property service group’s social housing maintenance division.
The development may affect the capability of Connaught to sell parts of its busines, which is one of the potential options under consideration as part of the FTSE 250 company’s talks with lenders over its debts.
It is stressed that most of the challenges lay in the group’s social housing division and that the potential problems were relatively minor elsewhere.
