“Discuss your people skills” is among the most popular question raised during a job interview.
If employers had to pick the most important category of skills in choosing between candidates, they would probably pick interpersonal skills. Unless you are working in a sealed room without even a telephone in it, you will need good interpersonal skills to deal with colleagues, clients and customers, and suppliers.
In particular roles, such as sales, you may need highly developed pitching and negotiation skills. But the question in this section is relevant to just about everyone.
